Story
Hi, I’m Nicky Wright — the artist and creative mind behind Blackhall Barn Design.
Art has always been a constant in my life, a joyful way to express myself and connect with the world around me. Before launching this venture, I spent many fulfilling years as a teacher. When I came to an unexpected crossroads in my career, it was my deep love of wildlife, nature and the beautiful Norfolk landscape that eventually inspired me to follow my heart and focus on my artistic journey.
I live in Norfolk with my husband, our two children, and our two characterful rescue dogs — all of whom bring daily joy, inspiration, and sometimes a bit of chaos! The unique charm and wildlife of this region play a huge role in my work, from the gentle curve of a hare’s back to the flicker of a wren in the hedgerow.
Through Blackhall Barn Design, I offer original artwork, prints, and thoughtful pieces for the home — each one crafted with care and a love for nature.
